What attracted you to Red Tent Australia?
The sisterhood! I have lived in Brisbane for two and a half years now and it’s time to make some friends and get involved in the community. I’m attracted to the nurturing and supportive environment in which woman can come together, be brave and tell their truth.
What is your experience so far?
I first started working with woman when I was 24 years old and trained as a phone counsellor for a women’s centre. After I had my four daughters I put myself through university to become a social worker and have worked with individuals, couples and families ever since. I’ve facilitated many groups over the years and know the value of people coming together to grow, learn, share and support one another.
What do you hope to bring to your community?
I will provide a safe and nurturing space for woman to come together, to be brave and be heard, to get to know each other and create last friendships. I love learning and sharing and I will be facilitating workshops for the interest and support of my community.
