Welcome to the Darwin Red Tent!

1. What attracted you to Red Tent Australia?
I am drawn by how the collective strength and wisdom grows when women come together in sacred space. RTA is a leader in how circles are held with integrity and every woman receives so much from filling their cups at each gathering. I love the values that Red Tents spread throughout Australia and I’d love to be a part of spreading the love in Darwin (and pop into Red Tents everywhere I go).
2. What is your experience to date?
My experience in holding circles and ceremony is with presenting in front of the class as a teacher (Yoga, Meditation and Breathwork). I understand the importance of ‘feeling held completely’ and empowering other women to not only help themselves but hold space for each other. I have held women’s circles casually off and on for a few years and enjoy being around women in circle in general.
3. What do you hope to bring to your community?
I hope to bring consistency of an established circle, supported by a strong foundation (myself, RTA and other Red Tent facilitators). Darwin is a transient community, but also a lot of women live here permanently. I hope to incorporate and honour indigenous values of the Larakia country, and ensure all women feel welcome to attend the Darwin Red Tent circles. I aim to keep circles fresh, dynamic, sincere and authentic. It’s so important for me that each woman feels safe, special and empowered to be who she wants to be.
