A word from Bree –
“Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!
My journey with women’s work was seeded by my mother and grandmother. When I was 4 I spent some time living in Indigenous community near Alice Springs, Central Australia with my mother, grandmother, and grandfather. My first exposure to the secret/sacred women’s ceremonies was through witnessing the women’s business being a regular part of community life here. Coming back to rural Australia after this and settling into a home, I was blessed to attend annual Women’s Camps run by the local BirthWorker with my mother for most of my childhood and maidenhood. Through these, I received initiation into the women’s mysteries as I grew into my own sense of what it is to be a woman.
At 18, when I moved from the country to the city for study and for work opportunities, I discovered that the sense of sisterhood and community that I had been blessed with my whole life, was nowhere to be found. After several years of isolation, and much needed differentiation and distance from the world of women’s woo woo (teenaged Bree really needed a break to ground back into being a human in the regular world!), I found the inspiration in Sydney through meeting an incredible group of women, and brought them together in sacred sisterhood circle through monthly Wild Women events.
After just short of 2 years of these incredibly inspiring, awakening and initiatory circles with a heart-expanding, mind-growing group of soul sisters (of which dear Rebekah Mené Spirito is one!), I was in a Kundalini Awakening Goddess Retreat in Bali, and met Jill Genet, who had founded Red Tent Australia, a not-for-profit women’s organisation, in the same year I’d started Wild Women. I felt really called to join their networks of sisterhood circles and merge my circles into the Red Tent and after a time, and I opened the first Red Tent in our state ~ Sydney Northern Beaches Red Tent.
Right now, I am working deeply with Red Tent Australia, creating community all over Australia through women’s groups called ‘Red Tents’. 2 years ago, I stepped into the role of the state coordinator, and this month, I am incredibly honoured to step into the role of President.
I have extensively studied and explored women’s mysteries, feminine spirituality, goddess/archetypes, rites of passage for women, women’s sexuality, herbal medicine, menstrual and reproductive wellbeing.
My primary work as a Naturopath & Yoni Mapping Therapist, empowering, educating and providing support to women & girls through yoni mapping, herbal medicine, nutritional guidance, holistic wellbeing support, iridology, yoni massage, coaching, & mentoring.
I trained in Red Tent facilitation with Tanishka (The Moon Woman) and Red Tent Australia. I am also a Naturopath, Yoni Mapping Therapist, Music Teacher, Feminine Rites of Passage Facilitator, and Girls Mentor, having trained with Journey of Young Women.
I deeply share the vision of Red Tent Australia to have Red Tents in every town! The Red Tent is the heart of community”

FAQ’s for becoming a RTA Facilitator:
1. How much does it cost to open a Red Tent Branch?
The total cost for the training is $1,250. There are four modules in total, you must complete all modules before you can join an existing branch as a co-facilitator, or open a new branch. You must complete all four modules within one year. There is a yearly Branch fee of $250 that covers your insurance, support, marketing and website. We will attend your opening circle and support you every step of the way. We supply marketing materials, use of logo, handbook, name badge, policies and procedures and TONNES OF SUPPORT!
2. Will I make money from being a RTA Facilitator?
Yes! You will receive 100% of your ticket sales! You can hold as many circles and workshops as your schedule permits. We only require you to hold one circle per month and one workshop per quarter. The business model we hand you is built on Sacred Commerce and lets you to be able do as much as you desire. Run with it and built an empire, we will support you all the way!!
OR hold one circle a month to make some incredible connections and offer the gift of connection to your community, we will support you all the way!! Our facilitators experience lots of rewards from providing life changing experiences to the women in their community. We respect your time, talent and experience, so we want to make sure you that you earn an income for your time; the bigger your circle the more you earn. But that should not be the goal… Even if one woman attends it will have been worth it.
3. What about things like Facebook for my branch?
We teach you how to manage your branch’s Facebook page/group at the training. We share weekly videos and tips to our facilitators and hold weekly online support circles for all our facilitators. We also have a social media manager who is willing to help with any problems you encounter.
4. Do I have to have insurance?
We have an umbrella insurance that you can come under as a branch of RTA.
5. How will I know what to do and say?
We provide you with a handbook that contains scripts for meditations and running orders for each type of circle. We do encourage you to create your own flow. We want each circle to have an individual look, feel and flavour. We just ask that you stick to the same openings and closings at each branch and always treat the Red Tent as Sacred Space.
6. What prior learning or experience do I have to have?
None. But preference will be given to Holistic Wellness Practitioners, Counsellors or Mental Health Experts. Women’s well being leaders.
7. How much time per month does it take to run a branch of RTA?
To start with you will be spending a few hours per week reading everything, learning the ropes and talking to people about your branch and you will love every minute of it. After your branch is established and you have a list of potential topics and guest speakers it will take less time to organise. You will create your events on Humanitix (our ticketing site) and then Facebook and then invite all your connections and ask them to share it. Hanging posters at like-minded businesses is a great idea and putting articles in the free section of your local papers is good too. The actual circle is 2-3 hours once a month plus set up and pull down time. YOU CHOOSE YOUR HOURS! It’s completely up to you how much time, effort and energy you put into growing and nurturing your branch, it is your business to grow as you wish!
8. Will I have help?
You will be joining a sisterhood of Facilitators who have a wealth of experience; you will be welcomed with open arms. We run facilitator gatherings and ongoing support via our facilitators and friends Facebook group. We have an Executive Committee who are dedicated to your success and want to help you shine. We have a National Red Tent Co-ordinator and State co-ordinators to answer all your questions and attend your opening ceremony. We also have a facilitator weekend retreat planned each year. So yes, you will have help.
9. I’m a business owner can I talk about my business at my Red Tent?
Yes- if you are a Corporate Member of RTA. With all respect to Tupperware we do not want to turn RTA circles into Tupperware parties. We encourage business owners to become members of our trusted network of service providers, our alternative economy; our Corporate Directory. We also encourage our facilitators to look to our Corp Members to be special guest speakers at their branches. We want to support our sisters and share the knowledge!!! You can be a special guest at your own branch, just not every month.
10. How do I apply? Please fill in your application here: www.redtentaustralia.org/facilitator-training-eoi/
